In the cold mist, the red-fruited tomato trellises stand out among the green of the plateau. Moc Chau tomatoes are mainly grown in biological greenhouses in Dong Sang commune and Ang village, following the organic farming model, using microbial fertiliser and clean water from the ravine.
Thanks to the difference in day-night temperature and light sunlight, tomatoes here have thin skin, dense intestines, sweet and richer taste than many other regions.
Not only a familiar vegetable in meals, Moc Chau tomatoes also show people’s efforts in developing green and environmentally friendly agriculture.
